Family & Early Life
Rebecca (Becky as everyone calls her) grew up in a close-knit family where love, loyalty, resilience, and responsibility shaped much of her early life. As the oldest child, she naturally stepped into the role many oldest daughters know well—the observer, the protector, the one trying to make sense of emotions and experiences unfolding around her. That perspective would later influence not only the way she understood relationships, but also the way she tells stories.
From an early age, Rebecca was drawn to the emotional complexity of people: the things left unsaid, the hidden fears people carry, the ways families protect one another, and the difficult realities that can exist beneath outward appearances. Those experiences deeply shaped her voice as both a therapist and writer.
Her writing reflects a lifelong fascination with human behavior, emotional survival, memory, trust, and the complicated ways people navigate love, fear, loyalty, and uncertainty.
